BUILDING SERVICES
We have been working with lime for almost 25 years and in that time have worked on a wide range of buildings; from churches and abbeys to traditional cottages. Our passion is working on vernacular buildings and working with clients to create warm, beautiful homes.
Due to running training courses, we now only take on a small number of building projects a year. We are not currently taking on new projects.
RENDERING & PLASTERING
The finish of your render and plaster should be bespoke to your property. Whether you need a perfectly smooth finish in your Georgian property or something with texture for your traditional cottage. We also offer insulating render and plaster which can be a cost effective insulating option.
We undertake lath and wattle with daub plastering that can be used in both new and old builds. Clay plasters and paints are also available.
POINTING & LIMEWASHING
We can make almost any colour for your internal and external finishes, all of which will give a warm and clean finish.
Pointing mortar can be matched to either your existing building or to your personal perference. Lime pointing can often be a cheaper alernative to completely rendering your building to ensure breathability.
STONEWORKS & BRICKWORK
All types of stone and brickwork undertaken, from new buildings to stonemasonary repairs to churches.
DAMP REPORTS
When purchasing an older property, mortgage providers will often ask for a damp report. We can provide you with a full report detailing all potential and existing issues along with advice on how to resolve said issues. CONSULTATION
We can offer advice on controlling damp and moisture movement within any type of building.
Conservation and restoration of old buildings is a balance between preservation of the buildings heritage and ensuring the building is fit for function and works efficiently as a home. We can advise on how to achieve this within your budget and timescales.
