Ben has been working in conservation for 25 years predominantly as a lime plasterer. In 2008 he completed his Masters in Environmental Architecture where he researched how natural materials can be used to alleviate damp issues. He has gone onto specialist in diagnosing and treating damp in older properties.

Ben is Master Plasterer, a NVQ assessor and tutor, the 2023 Mentor of the year and a member of the SPAB Technical Committee.
