About the Event
This is an introductary course aimed at home owners and anyone with an interest in using lime.
Course content will include:
Properties of lime and why using it on older buildings is so important
Understanding the different types of lime and their uses
Practical demonstrations on making a mix and applying a lime plaster
Chance to have a go at making a mix and applying a base coat.
There will be plenty of time for questions and we encourage students to bring details of their own projects for the class to discuss.
Included in the course fee is a comprehensive course handbook will pictorial instructions on how to lime plaster and lime point.
Refreshments are provided however students are asked to bring a packed lunch.
