Plastering Fibres

Fibres are one of the most important materials we use in plastering. There are currently two main options available on the mass market – animal fibres or plastic fibres  - neither of which are ethical or sustainable.

We have been working with lime plasterers across the UK, to find an alternative plastering fibre that is both ethical, sustainable but perhaps most importantly - is easily scalable. There is a wealth of research on a number of available fibres but many aren't scalable without significant investment and processing.

After much research and testing, we think we have found some great options. We are now on a mission to raise awareness of these options, and ultimately ensure that they are made easily available..
