Rendering a home is often seen as a job that only a professional team can undertake. In many situations this assumption is correct however by using different methods, rendering can be completed with a smaller team or even an individual.
In this course we will show students how to apply render by hand, following the shape of the stone and lines of the building to create a beautiful rustic finish. Applying by hand - known as bagging - allows for small sections to be completed at a time.
Please note that if you are looking for a smooth finish with straight edges like you might expect to see on a vicotrian town house, then this method would not be suitable.
The course is aimed at anyone involved in traditional or natural building. Whether you are renovating your own property, looking to build an eco build, a tradesperson looking to upskill or an architect looking to learn learn a new skill, this course is suitable for all.
All tools and materials are included and all students will receive a comprehensive handbook.
Course day timings: 10am - 4pm
