Understanding Damp in Older Properties

In this half day workshop, we will look at the most common reasons for damp in an older property, why a solid walled building needs to breath, and what can be done to remidy and prevent future damp issues.

The use of appropriate materials for solid walled properties will be discussed - this will include appropriate materials for plastering, pointing and rendering, paint options as well as how to spot when incorrect materials have been used.

The half day will take the form of theory sessions and demonstrations, with hands on opportunities.
