Hands on Lime Pointing Courses in Gloucestershire
Our one day lime pointing course starts in the classroom where you will learn about solid walled construction and limes role in ensuring a home works as originally designed to do so. Students then enter the workshop where they will look at types of lime, making a lime mix, removing old mortar safety and ofcourse the application of new lime pointing.
No practical experience is required for this course.

What makes our pointing courses different?

Our tutor Ben is a Master Plasterer with over 25 years experience of working in the restoration of period properties. In 2023 he was awarded Mentor of the Year at the FIS Training Awards and joined the SPAB Technical committee. His knowledge is up to date and experience is varied.

All of our courses, with the exception of the knowledge share sessions, are mostly practical. We believe that you can only understand how to use lime, by actually using it.
