🎉 Congratulations to Tom on passing his Level 3 Award in Education and Training!

Over the past 10 months, Tom has worked incredibly hard as part of our pilot Train the Trainer programme. Having already built an impressive career as a skilled lime plasterer, he has spent the last year developing the knowledge, confidence and teaching skills needed to inspire the next generation of heritage craftspeople.

The programme, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, combines formal teaching qualifications with mentoring and hands-on teaching experience, giving experienced craftspeople the support they need to transition into teaching.

Tom still has a couple of months left on the programme, but achieving his teaching qualification is a fantastic milestone and a testament to the commitment he has shown throughout.

This pilot is about much more than one tutor. The lessons we learn will help us develop future Train the Trainer programmes across a range of heritage crafts, ensuring vital traditional skills can continue to be passed on for generations to come.
