First Aid Training for Tom

It's been another busy month of training for our Train the Trainer student, Tom. Alongside continuing to develop his classroom skills and technical knowledge, Tom has also completed Emergency First Aid at Work training.

Having confidence in a wide range of situations is an important part of being a tutor. Knowing how to respond in an emergency helps create a safe learning environment for both staff and students. While we have never experienced any student injuries during our courses, it is essential that our team understands the correct procedures should an incident occur.
As lime is a caustic material, tutors must be aware of the appropriate first aid responses and safety measures when working with traditional building materials. This training ensures that Tom is well prepared to support students and respond effectively if assistance is ever needed.
All of our staff attended the training and now hold Emergency First Aid at Work qualifications, reflecting our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety across all of our training programmes.
A big thank you to Heritage Lottery UK and the players for making this possible.
